Cesc Fabregas was plucked from the famed Barcelona youth setup ‘La Masia’ by Arsenal at a very young age. He then came through Arsenal’s youth academy and broke into the first team. He went on to captain the team and become the focal point of the team.

He then left Arsenal to return to his boyhood in the summer of 2011. After it took him time to find his feet on his return to Barcelona, he finally managed to slot into the team from last season onwards.

Arsenal too have gone about replacing him adequately over the last season as they secured the signing of yet another Spaniard in the form of Santi Cazorla. The little play maker easily fit into the Arsenal setup, and was one of the standout performers of last season.

Arsenal have now gone further and have recruited Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for a massive £42.5 million. He is the Gunners’ record signing by a distance, which has got everyone at the club understandably excited.

Daily Mail report that Fabregas too has joined into the excitement by stating that he is convinced Ozil will make a huge impact in England. He spoke to Al Primer Toque and said, “He is going to enjoy the Premier League an awful lot. It is a league with much more space and Ozil is a player that, given time and space, he will kill you.”

“As we have already seen from his time at Real Madrid, his final ball is brilliant and I believe that he will really enjoy himself in England.”

Fabregas is not the first person to be convinced of Ozil’s success with Arsenal. The German will have huge expectations on his shoulders to lead the team on the path of success, especially after Arsenal broke the bank for him.
