Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to sign Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier, according to reports in the French media.
The pair worked together for two years at PSG and the fullback is said to be on the list of players the Gunners are targeting this summer.
Arsenal are without Hector Bellerin who has a long-term knee injury, while Stephan Lichtsteiner has already confirmed that he plans to leave the Emirates after just one season.
Meunier could reportedly be available for €30m (£26.5m). He has fallen down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes with the Belgian international’s season having been hampered by injury problems.
The 27-year-old still made 27 starts in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing an impressive seven assists.
The Gunners will face competition if they do decide to pursue a deal for Meunier, though, with Manchester United also said to be keen on signing the defender.
