Arsenal manager Unai Emery is one of the managers who would be considered if Napoli decide to sack Carlo Ancelotti, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website claims the Serie A side are weighing up four “excellent candidates” with a shortlist that includes the Gunners boss, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, Luciano Spalletti and Gennaro Gattuso.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been unhappy with the club’s form this season, and has even vowed to sell his entire squad after a number of players refused to go away on a training camp, after the club’s draw against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.

The mutiny has also reportedly led to a strained relationship between De Laurentiis and Ancelotti, who is already under pressure after a poor start to the league season which sees Napoli sit seventh in the table; 13 points off leaders Juventus.

Calciomercato claim that Napoli would find it difficult to get Emery because of the compensation required, but there are quite a few Gunners fans who wouldn’t mind if he was let go for free.
