Di Marzio Reveals “First Contacts Have Been Made” As Arsenal Look To Secure 30M Rated Serie A Ace

Arsenal have made contact with the representatives of Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

When asked whether either the Gunners or Spurs were interested in the Swedish international, the Italian reporter replied that Mikel Arteta’s side have already held discussions about a potential transfer ahead of the January transfer window:

“Arsenal want him. The first contacts with the agents (have been made). Juventus bought him for €35 million (£30 million) plus bonuses. So, it depends on how much Arsenal want to invest on this player. But, I know that the first contacts have been made by the parties.”

Juve will reportedly look to recoup the €35m (£30m) they spent on Kulusevski so, as Di Marzio points out, it is now up to Arsenal to decide whether the 21-year-old is worth the money.

Kulusevski generally likes to play off the right flank, cutting in to shoot on his stronger left foot, but that position is already pretty well catered for in the Gunners’ squad.

Both Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe prefer playing on the right wing, so it seems likely that Pepe would need to be offloaded before the club pursue a deal for Kulusevski.
