Deco, the agent of Leeds winger Raphinha, is willing to “bide his time” so Barcelona can make their move for the Brazilian international, according to 90min.com.
Arsenal had their first offer for the player rejected yesterday, with Leeds said to be holding out for a fee in the region of £60m.
However, despite Barca having financial problems, Deco is doing all he can to facilitate Raphinha’s switch to the Camp Nou. He was pictured on Instagram with the Catalan club’s president Joan Laporta and his former teammate Samuel Eto’o yesterday, and it’s clear he still has close ties with the team he played for between 2004 and 2008.
It is even believed that Deco is trying to persuade Leeds into dropping their asking price below £50m but that seems very unlikely to happen considering Raphinha is in such high demand. In addition to Arsenal, both Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in signing the player this summer.
