David Ospina hints at Arsenal departure after Gunner sign £22 million Leno

Arsenal keeper David Ospina has hinted he could leave the club this summer after the arrival of Bernd Leno.

Leno joined the Gunners last week in a £22 million move from Bayer Leverkusen, and is expected to take straight over from Petr Cech as the club’s number one.

Cech, 36, is not expected to leave The Emirates and is likely to remain as manager Unai Emery’s back-up shot-stopper, meaning game time for Ospina is likely to be limited even further than it has been already.

The Colombian keeper made only four league starts for Arsenal last term, and following Leno’s arrival in North London, the 29-year-old now says he will have to consider his future with club once the World Cup is over.

“I’m now fully concentrated on national team,” Ospina told VivaroNews Sport.

“I know that Arsenal signed new goalkeeper, but I’m now focused on national team and after the World Cup I will think what to do next.”

Ospina and Colombia currently sit third in Group H behind Senegal and Japan, but can guarantee passage to the tournament’s last-16 with victory over Senegal on Thursday afternoon.
