Danny Welbeck Sidelined

Well in what will be possibly be a bigger blow to England than Arsenal, Danny Welbeck is not available to play for the next few weeks. The former Man United forward is not available for the FA Cup final vs Aston Villa on the weekend at Wembley after his knee injury has been deemed too serious for him to be considered with Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott the likely choices upfront for the Gunners. Seemingly Welbeck was always looking an unlikely starter for Arsene Wenger’s team and the boss has been preparing for this eventuality for some time.

Welbeck is also out of the upcoming England games where perhaps as one of Roy Hodgson’s preferred selections he was more likely to start in the away games vs Ireland (friendly) or Slovenia in the Eurpean Championship qualifying game or both.
