‘Come On!!!!’ ‘Bring Him’ ‘God Please’ Fans On Twitter React To Latest Update On Arsenal’s Pursuit Of £44m Rated La Liga Star

The Guardian reporter Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

The Italian journalist claims the Gunners are actively pursuing the Ghanaian with the London club expressing the strongest interest in the player out of any club.

Supporters on Twitter are hoping Arsenal can push through a deal when the transfer window reopens:

There is A LOT that needs to go right for the Gunners to be in with a chance of signing Thomas. First of all, the 26-year-old will need to reject a new contract from Atletico.

The La Liga club are said to be determined to increase the Ghanaian international’s €50m (£44m) release clause, but if he turns down a new deal, a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano would become a distinct possibility.

Secondly, Arsenal would need to find the funds to finance the deal, and considering the current financial climate, that will be easier said than done.
