Arsenal are not expected to sack Mikel Arteta despite the Gunners crashing out of the Europa League last night, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.
Even though the club are on course for their worst finish in the league for 25 years, Ornstein claims the Arsenal hierarchy don’t believe the Spaniard is part of the problem at the club. They are apparently expected to give him the summer transfer window to rectify the issues in the first-team squad.
While there are still some fans supporting Arteta, it must be said that the majority of fans on Twitter did not welcome this update from Ornstein:

I mean is there a more clueless lot than the Arsenal hierarchy that have presided over the absolute decline of this great club?

Of course they don't think Arteta is part of the problem because the power that be are part of the problem who back him.

Of course, Arteta has to take his fair share of the blame for this season’s results, but the problems won’t simply go away by bringing in another manager. Huge investment is needed in the playing squad to get this team back where it belongs, and it remains to be seen whether the current ownership will fund those plans.
