Sevilla are expected to use Lucas Ocampos in their bid to sign Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe this summer, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Argentine, who has been capped 10 times by his country, has been on the Gunners’ radar in the past and Sevilla are hoping that Mikel Arteta’s side will be tempted to take the 27-year-old in exchange for Pepe.

Ocampos has had a decent season in Spain, having scored nine goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances, but he does have a poor disciplinary record, demonstrated by the fact that he has picked up twelve yellow cards this campaign.

Arsenal are looking for a wide forward, though, and the fact that Ocampos is equally comfortable on both flanks could make him an attractive target.

Whether Sevilla will offer the Argentinian international in a straight swap with Pepe, we shall have to wait and see. Considering Ocampos only cost £13.5m when he joined from Marseille in 2019, you would have to think additional cash will be needed for the Gunners to be interested in the deal.
