‘Closely Followed’ Report Claims Arsenal And Napoli Are Both Targeting Brazilian U23 International Striker

Arsenal and Napoli are interested in signing Internacional forward Yuri Alberto, according to Revista Colorada.

The website reports that the Brazilian Under 23 international is being “closely followed” by the two teams, although they don’t go into further detail as to whether either club are likely to make a formal offer.

Alberto only moved from Santos on a free transfer in August last year but he has been a regular starter for Internacional over the past ten months, having scored 17 goals in 54 appearances.

The Brazilian’s performances in the Copa Libertadores have likely caught the eye. He scored three goals in five group stage games, but he has yet to score this season in the domestic league, having failed to find the back of the net in Internacional’s first five league matches.

Alberto can play right across the frontline, having played on both wings for his club, although he is most comfortable playing through the middle as the main striker.
