Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has remained tight-lipped about his future after being asked whether he will sign a new contract.
Speaking on Instagram Live with Kevin-Prince Boateng, his fellow professional asked him whether he would be staying at the Emirates:
“They’re [fans] all saying you should sign a new deal with Arsenal.”
Aubameyang simply replied that he was aware of the speculation surrounding his future:
“Ah yeah, I know.”
Boateng pressed on querying how long he had left on his new deal before asking again if he planned on putting pen to paper on a contract extension. Aubameyang laughed and said:
“Sure, sure…”
It certainly isn’t the most convincing of responses and fans on Twitter have been taking it to mean that Aubameyang could well be leaving:
Clearly leaving.

His first reaction ? …
I don’t feel very positive about the possibility of him signing a new contract tbh. But I hope I’m wrong.— Foxey (@foxseabirds) March 28, 2020
Like I said before.. That's not encouraging.. His mood totally changed after Boateng asked him about the contract situation.

Reports suggest that the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been keeping tabs on the 30-year-old’s situation.
If Aubameyang doesn’t sign a new deal, the Gunners are unlikely to allow him to stay and run down his contract, so supporters will be hoping he signs on the dotted line this summer.
