Check Out The Follow Up To Our Post – Should Arsenal finally splash out 50-60million pound on a striker?

Our writer Jacko Jones aka Tony Attwood of Untold Arsenal is the original author of the post on GoonerNews.com – The Blog – Should Arsenal finally splash out £50-60million on a striker who could deliver 20-25 goals a season?. Tony has written an excellent follow up post on his Untold Arsenal blog. You can see his follow up post here The figures that show that a 30+ goalscorer is not always the answer. The kind of strikers we imagine Tony is talking about are the likes of some of Europe’s current top goal-scorers such as Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain, PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bayern’s Robert Lewandovski. Are these strikers available? Well we know money can often talk.

In the article Tony goes on to debate in his inimitable style whether Arsenal should make a big splash on a big-name, big money striker who should deliver a serious number of goals – at least 30+ you would say. He certainly seems to be unconvinced the big purchase is the answer to Arsenal’s problems. The question remains are Arsenal just a season away from everything clicking and the undeniable talents like young Alex Iwobi, the dynamic Alexis Sanchez, Mohamed Elneny, The Ox, Francis Coquelin, Danny Welbeck, Santi Cazorla, Hector Bellerin et al taking the Gunners to the next level with their existing strikeforce or do they need to make that huge splash on a striker with no guarantees?

Only time will tell but it is unquestionable that the addition of any striker out of Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain, PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bayern’s Robert Lewandovski would be a statement of serious intent by the Gunners to their Premier League and European rivals and many fans would applaud such a move. What do you think or are you more swayed by the patient approach which I can’t deny is overdue to pay dividends.
