Ceballos And Tierney To Start, Ozil On The Bench: Arsenal’s Predicted Line Up To Play Wolves

It’s been a very difficult week for Arsenal and Unai Emery following the events against Crystal Palace. Granit Xhaka has come out with an explanation for his actions last weekend but it is still difficult to see how he can retain the captaincy.

There is a football match to be played tomorrow, though, and the Gunners will make a number of changes from the side that lost to Liverpool on penalties midweek.

Kieran Tierney is in line to make his second successive league start as he looks to establish himself as the first-choice left-back ahead of Sead Kolasinac. After conceding five goals at Anfield, the likes of Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin are unlikely to keep their places, with Calum Chambers, David Luiz and Sokratis all expected to return to the starting eleven.

In midfield, the key question will be whether either Xhaka or Mesut Ozil will be included. Following the controversy over the Swiss star, Emery has said that he is not considering the midfielder for selection so Lucas Torreira will likely keep his place.

The decision over Ozil is probably more contentious. With Dani Ceballos having started on the bench midweek, the Spaniard may be given the nod ahead of Arsenal’s no.10, but there is a possibility that both could start.

Up front, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe are all expected to be named in the lineup.
