The Brazilian winger looks to be on a similar timeline to Saka, as Arteta confirmed this week that he wouldn’t return before the international break.
It means that the game against Fulham also looks the earliest possible return date for Martinelli, who suffered a hamstring injury during the Gunners’ Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle United in January.
Arteta said this week: “We have a meeting tomorrow [Thursday] to discuss where they are, especially Gabi. He has probably a chance before Bukayo to come in, but how soon that is, we’ll have to see how it goes in the next week or ten days.”

Takehiro Tomiyasu
It was announced last week that defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has been ruled out for the rest of the season for Arsenal as he underwent a second surgery on his knee.
The club announced a statement after the surgery saying: “He will now begin his rehab programme, which is expected to be completed towards the end of this year.” Tomiyasu likely won’t be back until the Autumn.
