Brighton V Arsenal Match Preview And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Arsenal had to be a patient against a physical Burnley side on Saturday but Alex Iwobi’s injury-time goal sealed a nervy 3-1 win for Unai Emery’s team.

A trip to Brighton tomorrow won’t be a straightforward affair either with last year’s 2-1 defeat at the Amex in March still fresh in the memory.

The Gunners’ injury issues don’t look to be clearing up any time soon. Shkodran Mustafi remains a doubt for the match. The centre-back is still recovering from a hamstring injury but Emery says the German international is close to a return.

Nacho Monreal had to be substituted against Burnley in the first half with a muscular problem. The Spaniard was taken off as a precaution and is highly unlikely to be risked against Brighton.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan failed to win his fitness battle to make the matchday squad at the weekend. The Armenian has been suffering from an ankle injury but could be back in contention tomorrow.

Hector Bellerin is still out with a calf issue, while Konstantinos Mavrapanos is not quite ready to make his comeback from a groin injury. Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Rob Holding (knee) are out for the long term.

Brighton have two injury doubts heading into the match. Alireza Jahanbakhsh has been out with a hamstring injury while Jose Izquierdo is struggling with a knee problem. Lewis Dunk is suspended after being sent off in the 2-0 defeat against Bournemouth.

The bookies have the Gunners as firm favourites. The London club are 8/11 with 188BET. A draw is 3/1 at BetVictor while a Brighton win is best priced at 9/2 with Betfair.
