Brighton V Arsenal: Match Preview And Betting Odds

With Arsenal’s game against Manchester City having been called off due to a Coronavirus scare, there are also doubts over whether the game against Brighton at the Amex this weekend will go ahead.

If it does, the Gunners will be a facing a team who haven’t won a league game since the turn of the year, and head coach Mikel Arteta will be looking to get the three points.

In terms of team news, Arsenal should have both Shkodran Mustafi (thigh) and Cedric Soares (knee) fit for the game. The two players were doubts for the City clash but a few days should make all the difference in terms of their availability to play.

Kieran Tierney is also not far away from returning to action. The Scottish international has not played since December after suffering a dislocated shoulder but he is now back in full training. The game against Brighton may, though, come too early for him.

Lucas Torreira (ankle), Sead Kolasinac (shoulder) and Calum Chambers (knee) are all out of contention for Saturday’s match.

Brighton boss Graham Potter has only one fitness concern going into the game. Winger Jose Izquierdo continues to be sidelined with a knee problem which has kept him out for the whole campaign.

The bookmakers have Arsenal as the favourites with Paddy Power currently pricing them at 11/8 for the win. A draw is 21/10 with Sky Bet while a Brighton victory is 5/2 at 888 Sport.

Predicted Score – 1-0 to Arsenal
