Brazilian Ace Agrees £100k A Week, Three Year Deal To Join Arsenal With Announcement Due Soon

Chelsea winger Willian has agreed to join Arsenal, according to reports in the English media. It is believed the Brazilian will put pen to paper on a three-year contract, worth £100,000 a week.

An announcement is expected later this month, although much will depend on the Blues’ progress in the Champions League. If Frank Lampard’s side do drop out at the last 16 stage as expected this weekend, an official unveiling may not be too far away.

Lampard was reportedly very keen to keep Willian but it is said that he was unable to convince Chelsea’s board that the 31-year-old was deserving of a three-year deal.

Everton were also keen on the winger, but the chance to stay in London and to play European football next season is likely to have swayed things in Arsenal’s favour.

Willian’s agent Kia Joorabchian is also believed to be looking at moving another one of his clients, Barcelona’s Phillipe Coutinho, to the Emirates but talks over his transfer have not advanced very far.
