Brazilian Ace Admits He’s Keen on Premier League Move Following Arsenal Links

Club Brugge forward Wesley Moraes says he would be keen on moving to the Premier League.

The Gunners were linked with the Brazilian during the January transfer window, and when asked about where he’d like to play his football in the future, he replied:

“I do know that I once said that I want to go to England and that is still the case. I have always closely followed the Premier League. But I am certainly also open to other leagues.”

The likes of Everton, Lazio, Fiorentina and even Paris Saint-Germain have been suggested as possible destinations for Moraes.

Whether the 22-year-old is a genuine target for the Gunners or any of those clubs this summer, it is not known, but the striker looks to be angling for a move.

Moraes’ form for Brugge this campaign doesn’t look that impressive. He has scored just 10 goals in the Belgian Pro League, although he did score twice in the Champions League group stages this season.

Arsenal may be eyeing a cheap replacement for Danny Welbeck with the 28-year-old out of contract in the summer. The former Manchester United striker is unlikely to play for the club again with the player sidelined with an ankle injury.
