‘Biggest Bargain In History’ ‘It’s Better Than Nothing’ Fans On Social Media React To Arsenal’s £33m Double Deal

Arsenal will sign two players before the transfer deadline this evening, barring any last-minute hiccups, according to multiples reports in the English media.

The Gunners have agreed an £8m fee for Chelsea defender David Luiz, whilst they have also had a £25m bid accepted for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney. Both players will have medicals today ahead of the £33m double deal.

Most fans on Twitter are pretty excited by how Arsenal will line up next season with the two defenders:

A few are not so thrilled by the prospect of Luiz signing for the club:

Considering how the transfer window started, it looks as if technical director Edu and Head of Football Operations Raul Sanllehi have played a blinder.

They have managed to secure all the targets that manager Unai Emery was asking for this summer. Whatever you think of David Luiz, they have effectively exchanged him for Laurent Koscielny and Carl Jenkinson which really isn’t bad business at all.

In the same vein, securing Tierney for £25m could also prove to be a bargain. He has the potential to become one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League.
