CB: William Saliba
An absolute revelation at the back for Arsenal, William Saliba has been fantastic for the Gunners this season. His main centre back partner, Gabriel, has been great too – but it is Saliba’s addition to the squad that has given Mikel Arteta’s team such solidarity.
Imperious in the air with excellent positioning, Saliba draws comparisons to a prime Virgil Van Dijk. It’s hard to beat him aerially, but it’s also very difficult to get in behind him.
The towering Frenchman has scored two goals for Arsenal this season, alongside a single assist.
