‘Best Choice, We Need Experience In Attack’ ‘Thanks But No Thanks’ Fans Discuss Reports That Arsenal May Revive Interest In 29 Year Old

Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is being considered as an option by Arsenal with the Gunners looking to sign a winger ahead of the transfer deadline.

The 29-year-old has been added to a shortlist that includes the likes of Wolves’ Pedro Neto, Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino and Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.

Zaha has had an outstanding start to the season, with three goals in three games so far, but there is a split among fans on Twitter over whether a move for the Ivorian is a good idea. While some feel he would add more quality to the forward line, others believe he is too old:

Ironically, Zaha could replace Nicolas Pepe if he does make the switch to the Emirates. Back in 2019, then manager Unai Emery wanted to sign the Palace star but the Gunners opted for his Ivorian international teammate instead.

Zaha’s age is a concern but, the fact that he has less than a year left on his contract means he will be available for a relatively low amount, taking some of the risk away from signing the forward. Arsenal may not be the only team interested in recruiting him, though, with Chelsea having also been mentioned as possible suitors in recent days.
