Bendtner Spotted Out On The Town After Arsenal Loss

According to Metro, Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has generated more bad press for himself after he was spotted partying at a London social event after his side’s 0-2 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.

The Gunners played Bayern in the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League, with the first leg being held at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. Arsene Wenger surprised supporters when the team sheet showed Yaya Sanogo starting ahead of players like Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud. Bendtner did not make the 18-man squad picked for the fixture, and was spotted at a social after party with other celebrities.

Wenger gave Bendtner another chance to revive his Arsenal career this season, but the Dane continues to feature in controversies on a regular basis. With a successful season using Olivier Giroud’s striking abilities, Wenger will look to replace Bendtner with a player who can give Giroud competition for his place. Sanogo featured in the defeat to Bayern, and that could spell danger to Bendtner’s possible appearances over the remainder of the season. It seems all but certain that the 26-year old will end his inconsistent career with the Gunners in the summer.
