Leicester are expecting up to three Premier League clubs to make an offer for Youri Tielemans before the transfer window closes, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The CBS Sports reporter claims that Arsenal were willing to pay around £23m for the Belgian but the Foxes are still believed to be holding out for their £30m valuation:

While Jacobs doesn’t mention Tielemans’ other potential suitors, there have been suggestions that the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham have all been keeping tabs on the player’s situation.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, it will be interesting to see whether the Gunners will be the ones to make a formal offer. The injury to Mohamed Elneny does raise the possibility of the London club signing a midfielder, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will go after Tielemans.

A more defensively-minded player may be targeted. It has already been reported in Brazil that Arsenal have had a bid rejected for Palmeiras’ Danilo which may suggest Tielemans isn’t the top priority.
