Bellerin Makes Concerning Statement About Where It’s Going Wrong For Arsenal

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin says he has no answers for why the team is playing so poorly after the 2-1 home defeat to Brighton yesterday evening.

The players looked bereft of confidence during the 90 minutes, and while they rallied at the start of the second half to get back on level terms with the Seagulls, they never looked like they were in control of the game. Asked about the team’s poor form, Bellerin was honest in his assessment:

“I don’t even know what to say. You get the feeling that whatever we’re doing it doesn’t come out right. The team gave its best, especially you can see how we pushed in the second half, created chances, every single player was going for every single ball, we defended good, but it seems like we need so many chances to score a goal and other teams with the smallest chances they score. It sounds a bit hard to say, but sometimes it’s like lost for words a bit.”

It was hoped that there would be a new manager bounce with Freddie Ljungberg taking over as interim head coach but the malaise that set in before Unai Emery’s sacking has continued.

Players were arguing with each other on the pitch while fans were frustrated with the lack of application from their stars. It is now nine games without a win for the Gunners.

They head to the London Stadium on Monday night where they will be facing another team in crisis, West Ham.
