Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on Aaron Ramsey’s sensational Europa League goal against CSKA Moscow.
The Gunners put one put in the competition’s semi-finals as they thrashed their Russian opponents 4-1 at The Emirates.
Ramsey opened the scoring after just nine minutes with a calm side foot finish, before Aleksandr Golovin levelled soon after with a sublime free-kick.
Alexandre Lacazette restored the host’s advantage from the spot 14 minutes later, before Ramsey added his second of the game to make it 3-1 – producing one of the goals of the tournament by flicking the ball over Moscow keeper Igor Akinfeev with the back of his heel.
Lacazette then completed the rout ten minutes before half-time after being picked out by the outstanding Mesut Ozil.
It was Ramsey’s second and the Gunners third that was the stand out highlight from the night however.
The Welshman’s sublime first-time finish was perhaps the best of handful of spectacular European goals this week.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s overhead kick against Juventus was special, and former Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s rocket against Manchester City too had the crowd on their feet – but Ramsey’s finish might just have been the cream of the crop …
