Bayern Don’t Plan To Sell Arsenal Target MandzukicThe future of Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic has been clouded in uncertainty ever since Bayern announced that Poland striker Robert Lewandowski will join them from rivals Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. There have been reports indicating that Mandzukic would be willing to leave the club since coach Guardiola will prefer Lewandowski in attack next campaign.

Premier League giants Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old, whose contract expires in 2016. The Gunners want to strengthen their attacking options for the new season and Wenger has identified Mandzukic to reinforce their attacking prowess.

However, in what will be a blow to Arsenal’s transfer plans, Bayern have revealed they are confident of keeping Mandzukic at the Allianz Arena beyond the end of the season.

According to the Daily Star, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said, “Mario Mandzukic is under contract with our club. I am definitely aware that many clubs have started to show an interest in Mario’s services, but I believe he will be with our club way beyond the end of this season.”
