The UK Baller League is set to begin in March, including three Arsenal legends in the form of Jens Lehmann, Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg.
Baller League will be an indoor football league that has gathered together legends of the game including Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, John Terry and Robert Pires.
The legends will coach the 12-team league, with collaborators including content creators KSI, Miniminter and TBJZL from the popular YouTube group the Sidemen.
The league is set to start in March after a draft will take place next week from a pool of over 200 players, all vying for a spot in one of 12 teams.
It is set to be based on the German version of the same league, alongside Gerard Pique’s King’s League, which takes place in Spain. Click here to see our guide on the format, and a full list of everyone involved in Baller League.
How does the draft work?
Over the past few weeks, trials have taken place in various cities in the UK, with player trying out for their chance to get into the draft and get picked by one of the 12 managers. Arsenal legends Ljungberg, Lehmann and Pires will join together to manager a team called N5 FC, inspired by the London Postcode of Arsenal (N5).
The most recent trials were in London, with Baller League UK, posting a mini-documentary about the trials on their Instagram page.

The Draft will be in a similar style to the likes of the NBA and NFL draft in the USA, where the teams will take it in turns to pick their players for the upcoming season. Anybody can apply to take part, with a link to the application on Baller League’s social media sites.
Baller League’s draft will take place on Monday 24 February, and will be available to watch live on YouTube and Twitch.
Where to watch the Baller League
The league itself will also be broadcast live on both YouTube and Twitch, and it will begin on Monday 3 March.
The competition will take place every Monday until the 19th May, when teams will compete in the playoffs for the first ever Baller League UK title.
Arsenal ‘invincibles’ legends Jens Lehmann, Freddie Ljungberg and Robert Pires are all involved as managers, and will be taking part in the draft as they pick the players for their teams.
