Aurier Set To Be Arsenal’s First Summer Signing!

The 21-year-old Serge Aurier has been in sizzling form for the French outfit, FC Toulouse and has even earned a place in Ligue 1’s team of the year. His attacking instincts have enabled him to score six goals this season, and he has provided a further six assists.

His fine performances have seen linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks. In fact, the Gunners want to make the full-back their first signing of the summer, according to the Daily Star.


Their current number one right-back Sagna is linked with a move to Manchester City and has stalled on signing a new deal. Wenger has reluctantly accepted that Sagna will not be playing at the Emirates next season and he is hoping to conclude a deal for Aurier swiftly.

Aurier, who is part of the Ivory Coast squad for this summer’s World Cup, is valued in the region of £7 million and he is nicknamed as ‘the Dani Alves of Ligue 1’. He also revealed his admiration for Arsenal recently by stating: “You can’t refuse an offer from Arsenal. It would be a dream.”
