Arteta has confirmed that the Australian international is in a race to be fit to face Aston Villa due to a muscular injury, so his participation is in doubt.
With Bernd Leno suspended after his inexplicable red card versus Wolves, Ryan would have been hoping to make his debut, but we shall see if he makes the squad.
