Aubameyang Reveals He Is About To Make A ‘Very Difficult Decision’ On His Future

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he is going to make a career-defining decision on his future over the next few months.

The 30-year-old has confirmed he has held talks with the Gunners about a contract extension, but no new deal has been offered with the forward aware he is going to have to make a tough choice:

“Recently I haven’t received an offer but of course there have been discussions with the club. It’s them who have the keys and for them to do their work. Afterwards, we will see what happens.

“It is a turning point in my career. I have been very frank with everyone. It will be of course a very difficult decision to make. It is possibly the most important decision of my career. But so far nothing has been decided.”

Aubameyang has just over twelve months to run on his current contract at the Emirates, and he has been linked with moves to a whole host of clubs.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the player but the striker’s comments will give Arsenal fans some hope as he has yet to make up his mind.

The London club are, though, unlikely to allow Aubameyang to run down his contract so we should have a definitive answer on his future well before next year.
