Aubameyang hints Unai Emery must start him AND Alexandre Lacazette against Chelsea this weekend

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hinted manager Unai Emery must him both him AND Alexandre Lacazette against Chelsea this weekend.

Aubameyang started the weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City up front on his own, and was often isolated in a frustrating first half for Arsenal.

However after the introduction of Lacazette in the second-half, the duo created a flourish of chances and were unfortunate not to to hit-back against Pep Guardiola’ side with Aubameyang adjudged offside after putting the ball in the City net.

And Aubameyang has since opened up on his relationship with the French striker, hinting he would prefer to be playing alongside his partner in crime as the season progresses.

“We really get on well,” Aubameyang told ESPN.

“There is a spark between us when we are both on the pitch together. We look for each other, we saw it [on Sunday] against City when he came on.

“I don’t mind playing on the left if Laca is in the centre. We both want to do our best for the team.”

Arsenal return to action on Saturday when they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
