Aubameyang And Martinelli To Start, Gabriel Drops Out: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Play Sheffield United

After the late setback against Slavia Prague on Thursday night, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will likely rest some players for tomorrow’s game versus Sheffield United ahead of the crucial second leg next week.

Bernd Leno is expected to remain in goal, but there could be a change at right-back, with Calum Chambers coming in for Hector Bellerin. Arteta may also give Pablo Mari another start ahead of Gabriel, with Rob Holding his centre-back partner. Cedric will deputise at left-back in the absence of the injured Kieran Tierney.

Dani Ceballos and Mohamed Elneny’s poor recent form may force Arteta into keeping faith with Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka, who have formed a pretty decent partnership in midfield. Martin Odegaard’s ankle injury means Emile Smith Rowe will continue in the no.10 role.

In the front three, captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to be recalled, with Alexandre Lacazette making way. Nicolas Pepe should be handed a start after his goal midweek, while Gabriel Martinelli could be given a rare opportunity to play if Bukayo Saka is rested.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United:
