Attend The London Sports Writing Festival Featuring David Dein And Arsenal Legend Sol Campbell Talking About The Invincibles

Next week Lord’s Cricket Ground plays host to the London Sports Writing Festival. The four-day Festival will feature some of our most successful sports writers and commentators talking about their latest books, and audiences will have the chance to discuss a range of themes and topics with the writers and, indeed, with several high profile sports celebrities.

The highlight is clearly going to be on Friday 24th October 2014, @ 20:00-21:00 for the absolutely awsome session — THE INVINCIBLES — a chat and interactive session hosted by Amy Lawrence, football correspondent for The Observer and an ardent Arsenal supporter, who sensationally (from the Gooners perspective!) will be joined by former vice-chairman David Dein, and Arsenal legend Sol Campbell from the 2003/2004 team. As every Gooner knows, they became the first team in 100 years to go the entire season undefeated. They pushed and inspired each other, bringing the best out of strong characters like Jens Lehmann, a self-styled ‘Mad German’, Robert Pirès, an instant friend if you give him a football, Patrick Vieira, a soft-spoken, battle-hardened captain, Gilberto, a thoughtful Brazilian, Thierry Henry, a supremely gifted and obsessed scorer and creator, and Dennis Bergkamp, the perfectionist conductor. Join Amy, David and Sol for an unforgettable hour remembering the way it was.
