Arteta ‘Very Interested’ In Bringing £36m Rated Spanish Anchor Man To The Premier League

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is “very interested” in bringing Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca to the Emirates, according to La Razon.

The Gunners have been linked with the 23-year-old before, but it appears they do now have competition for the player from the likes of Everton and AC Milan.

Roca does have a release clause of €40m (£36m) but with Espanyol six points from safety in La Liga, the Spanish side may be relegated, meaning the midfielder could be available for a knockdown price.

The Spaniard seems to be open to a move abroad with La Razon claiming that the player has switched agents, from JM10 Sport to Promoesport, which has a greater international focus.

Arsenal’s interest in Roca is likely to depend on the futures of the likes of Lucas Torreira and Dani Ceballos, with doubts having been raised over whether either player will be at the London club next season.
