Arteta Reveals He Could Have Up To SIX Players Missing For United Clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is a doubt to face Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow night.

The 20-year-old had to be substituted early in the second half during the 2-0 win against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon after picking up what appeared to be a groin problem.

Arteta says that Saka, Granit Xhaka and Sead Kolasinac could all be missing but he also stated that a “few” other players had picked up minor injuries:

“Granit is still not ready, Kolasinac is still not ready, we have a doubt with Bukayo and another few knocks we got against Newcastle so today is the day to assess how everyone is and if they will be fit for tomorrow and then make the decision on the squad.”

The Gunners boss did not name those who had knocks so we shall have to wait and see who makes the matchday squad for the trip to Manchester.

Having so many fitness doubts heading into the game against United is hardly ideal but, with new interim boss Ralf Rangnick not able to take charge of the Red Devils until the weekend, this could still be a good time for Arsenal to play them.
