Arteta Praising Suarez’s Comeback

Arteta Praising Suarez’s Comeback

Luis Suarez recently made a top ten list which included the most despised footballers in the world. His on pitch behavior shocked the fans and made people wonder how a player of his talent could behave so poorly in certain situations. Liverpool’s striker had to sit back for the past few months because of a harsh penalty received after biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanović. He returned in style managing to score 6 goals in his first 4 matches proving he is indeed one of the best strikers currently evolving in European football.

Suarez was close to transferring during the summer. Speculations surrounded the Uruguayan who was linked to Real Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal. The Gunners looked the most likely destination for the 26 year old striker who looked unhappy with Liverpool. Much has changed after the incident that took place in April and got Suarez banned. He is under contract until 2018 and will probably stay at Anfield until the end of his agreement.

With the game against Liverpool right around the corner, Arteta took some time to speak about Suarez. According to ESPN, Arsenal’s Spanish midfielder holds a lot of admiration for his adversary.

The Spaniard was impressed with how the Uruguayan managed to come back from what was the harshest penalty in Premier League history. Arteta looks at Suarez with respect and hails his reaction to all that happened during the last few months.

Arsenal’s player sees Suarez’s strong comeback as one of the most unexpected turns of events. It takes a lot of character to be able to face all those critics and all that pressure and still be able to perform at the highest level possible.

Arteta also said that Arsenal will have a tough time facing Suarez who looks more determined than ever. It seems that his suspension was rather motivating for the Uruguayan who will refuse to crack under pressure. The Gunner has been around for a while and is pretty hard to impress but Liverpool’s player really managed to grab his attention. Hopefully Arteta will find a way to stop Suarez’s great run.
