Arsenal have joined the battle to sign Brighton centre-back Ben White, according to reports in England.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is believed to be a massive fan of the England international and the London club are willing to make an offer for the 23-year-old during the summer transfer window.
However, the Seagulls have slapped a £50m asking price on White and that is likely to be a big stumbling block with Arsenal needing to offload players in order to free up funds for such a significant investment.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are also pursuing the defender and the player is believed to be aware of the interest being shown in him despite being away with England at the European Championships.
Arteta is said to have prioritised signing a new right-sided centre-half despite already having the likes of William Saliba, Rob Holding, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Calum Chambers at his disposal.
