Ramsdale

Bernd Leno has two years left on his contract and is unlikely to sign an extension. With that in mind, Arsenal have been casting their net far and wide to find a long-term successor. Andre Onana looked to be the favourite earlier on in the summer, but his appeal against his doping ban didn’t lead to an outcome the Gunners were hoping for.

Instead, three names have been considered. Reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona’s Neto has been looked at, after previous attempts were made to sign him in January. West Brom’s Sam Johnstone is also being scouted but Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale is the number one target. Two offers have reportedly already been rejected, with the Blades said to be holding out for a fee in excess of £30m.
