Arsenal’s Still Looking For Low-Cost Targets

Arsenal seem set to bring in free agent, Nemanja Pejcinovic whose contract with Nice just expired. The 26 year old who spent 4 years playing for the French side, managed 98 appearances and 6 goals for Nice. According to the Daily Express, the Serbian who was captain of his former team, wanted to make the step towards a more important club which will have the ability to perform in either the Champions League or the Europa League.

Pejcinovic would make a great addition to the team. He could be a viable option to replace one of two main defenders the Gunners currently have secured for the next couple of years. Even if Koscielny and Mertesacker are impossible to separate especially by someone with so little experience as the Serbian center-back.

Even so, having the 26 year old around is not a bad idea. He is probably very determined to perform at the highest level possible. He is young enough to keep up with the fast-paced Premier League pace and he is also fit enough considering his longest injury kept him benched for just 30 days. Pejcinovic is also pretty versatile being able to play as a left-back just in case Gibbs is not able to perform due to injury.

Despite being a free agent, the Serbian has now reached his career peak in terms of market value. Statistics show he is now valued at £ 3million which would be even better for Arsenal if they sign him free of charge.
