Arsenal’s Make Two More Winter Moves

Even though everyone expects big things to happen at the Emirates this January, signs point towards a quiet transfer window. Draxler or Reus would have been decent players to sign this winter and would have also been among the few good enough to join the Gunners. There are still those with contracts ending in the summer who might be available but again, there’s no one who would be good enough for Arsenal or willing to move to North London.

According to Metro there might be some activity on the transfer market when it comes to Arsenal though as Wenger plans on signing 17-year-old Toby Sibbick from AFC Wimbledon. It wouldn’t be that big of a surprise as the Frenchman has already signed Cohen Bramall from Hednesford to train with the U23 team. The Gunners’ focus seems to be on the defense as Sibbick just as Bramall, can play as fullback and as a center-back. Hopefully at least one of them will end up just as good as Bellerin who became a member of the first team when he was only 19. There is no doubt that Wenger has an eye for talent so there’s no negative comment to send his way when it comes to bringing in players who are still performing for their countries youth squads.

It would be a surprise to see Jon Toral stay at The Emirates though after being called back from Granada. The Spaniard who was rumored to be on his way to Rangers could be following in the footsteps of previously mentioned Bellerin and Coquelin who were both brought back and turned into indispensable players. Toral will be turning 22 in February so this is the time to make himself noticed. Hopefully his impact at Rangers will be easier to notice and will give him a good chance to get Wenger’s attention so maybe he could figure next year.
