Arsenal’s Latest Injury News Ahead Of The Europa League Final Against Chelsea

Arsenal have five players out for the Europa League final this evening but all have been known for a while.

Konstantinos Mavropanos was the only player who had a chance of returning to fitness after suffering a knock against Burnley on the final day of the season.

However, the Greek defender did not recover in time and was not named in the 24-man squad that went out to Baku.

There was one surprise inclusion, though, with Danny Welbeck back fit after six months out with a broken ankle. The England international will likely be on the bench, and if he comes on against Chelsea, it will be his last game for the club.

The former Manchester United striker’s contract at the Emirates expires at the end of next month and the Gunners have confirmed it won’t be renewed.

The other four absentees from the squad are long-term injuries. Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Denis Suarez (groin) have been ruled out, while Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin (both knee) won’t return until next season.
