Arsenal Youth Star Won’t Become A Star Gunner After All

Arsenal are definitely in for a lot of changes at the end of the season. Things are already starting to be set in motion, as some of their current players have been told they are not part of Wenger’s future plans. Even though the Frenchman is yet to sign a new contract and says he will wait until 2014 to decide what the best solution is for both him and the club, he still wants to create a more competitive team. After a disappointing 2012-2013 season, rumors have it that a summer clean-out is in the works and that massive investments will be made in buying some of Europe’s top players.

There are several Arsenal players who seem to be on the transfer list and interested teams are already expressing their desire to sign some of them. It appears that Emmanuel Frimpong, currently on loan at Craven Cottage, has found his next team. Fulham representatives spoke about the opportunity of signing Arsenal’s midfielder and said that they are keen on making the Ghanaian a part of their team on a full-time basis for future seasons. Even though he is just 21, he has been with Arsenal since he was 9. He started playing in the Premier League in 2009 but failed to become a constant presence in Wenger’s starting line-up especially with his injury prone anatomy. He has been on loan to Wolverhampton, Charlton Athletic and now Fulham managing to gather only about 20 appearances in two seasons.

Fulham seem to be satisfied with how Frimpong has performed up to now. Even though he has only been with the team since late January, it looks like he made a good impression and he is considered a good player to have around, especially with him leaving Arsenal for free at the end of this season.

Frimpong is part of a long line of players Arsenal decided to send out on loan for this season. Even though the Ghanaian international was seen as a future Essien or Song, showing excellent stamina levels and determination, he has failed to impress Arsenal’s manager enough to keep him at the Emirates.
