Arsenal are lining up a summer approach for Real Betis attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir, according to TodoFichajes.com. The Spanish website claims the Gunners are “willing” to offer €30m (£26m) for the France international.
They report that head coach Mikel Arteta is keen to “improve” his attacking options and he has identified the former Lyon playmaker as a potential target.
Fekir was on the verge of a move to Liverpool a couple of seasons ago before the transfer collapsed due to issues with his medical, and he eventually left France for Betis in a deal worth £17.7m last summer.
The 26-year-old has had a decent, if not spectacular, spell in La Liga having scored seven goals and contributed six assists in 22 appearances so far this campaign.
Fekir played a key role in Betis’s shock win against Real Madrid at the weekend, creating the first goal for Sidnei as his side claimed a 2-1 victory.
