Arsenal Weighing Up Move For Palace Star As They Eye Competition For Kieran Tierney

Arsenal are tracking Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell, according to reports in the English media.

The Gunners are keen to provide competition for first-choice Kieran Tierney and Mitchell is one of a number of players being considered, along with Hibernian’s Josh Doig.

Mitchell is not believed to be the club’s number one target, with other reports suggesting that the club are also looking at signing Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand on a free transfer.

However, with the 31-year-old said to be closing in on a move to Leicester, alternatives such as Mitchell may need to be looked at once again.

The fullback only signed a new contract last month so Palace are unlikely to be open to selling him on the cheap, and it must be pointed out that he hasn’t had the best of seasons for the Eagles due to form and fitness.

Mitchell made 19 league stats in total, with his best performance coming against Aston Villa in a 3-2 win earlier this month, when he scored and provided an assist.
