Arsenal Weigh Up Shock Loan Exit For 15M Midfielder Even Before He Signs On The Dotted Line

Arsenal are considering whether to loan out Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga when he completes his move to the Emirates, according to Sport Magazine.

The Belgian publication says there is a growing possibility that the Gunners will allow the 21-year-old to continue his development away from the London club, despite spending an initial €17.5m (£15m) on the player.

Lokonga has only made 78 senior appearances in his career and there is currently some doubts over whether he could make an instant impact in the Premier League.

With that being the case, manager Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff will make an assessment during preseason to decide whether he will be part of the club’s first-team plans for the upcoming season.

Lokonga is expected to finalise his switch to Arsenal later this month, once he has completed his quarantine, and he should be available for the trip to America at the end of July.
