Arsenal are considering whether to offer a player in their next bid for Sporting Lisbon winger Joelson Fernandes, according to the Daily Star.
Reports in Portugal have claimed that the Gunners have had a second offer of €32m (£29m) rejected, with Sporting holding out for the 17-year-old’s €45m (£41m) release clause.
To try and meet their demands, Arsenal could well offer a young player who isn’t likely to get game time under manager Mikel Arteta. Fernandes has been described as the ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’ by some media outlets, and he is attracting interest from other teams.
