Arsenal vs Watford: Team news and predicted starting XI

Unai Emery will be looking to continue his fine start to life as Arsenal boss when his side welcome Watford to The Emirates tomorrow afternoon.


The Gunners have won all six of their last games in all competitions, most recently sweeping aside Brentford 3-1 in the Carabao Cup during mid-week.

Emery named a number of youngsters in his side on Wednesday night, however the Spaniard is expected to recall some of his bigger stars for the clash with the Hornets.

Summer signing Sokratis will return to the starting line-up having recovered from a dead leg, while Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are also likely to regain their spots in the side.

Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka have proven to be Unai Emery’s midfield pairing off choice, and the duo could again start after an impressive display together during the 2-0 win over Everton.

Petr Cech will return in goal in favour of Bernd Leno, who made his first start for the club in midweek.

Injuries

Laurent Koscielny (Achilles), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg), Carl Jenkinson (ankle) and Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin) are all out, however Sead Kolasinac, who was on the bench against Brentford, could feature. The Bosnian is unlikely to start however having only just recovered from a knee injury.
