“Anything Can Happen”: William Gallas Predicts The Result Ahead Of Arsenal Vs Tottenham Hotspur

Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has made his predictions ahead of the North London derby on Wednesday night.

The Gunners lost to Manchester United on penalties in their last game in an FA Cup third-round clash, reducing their chances of winning silverware this season.

Mikel Arteta‘s side are third in the Premier League table, seven points behind Liverpool, who dropped points for a second consecutive game against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

Former Gunner Gallas has said that Wednesday’s game is a difficult one to predict, with the form of both clubs fluctuating in recent weeks.

He told Prime Casino: “They’re always special, special games, it’s a special derby. I can smell it right now.  It’s going to be a big, big derby.

“Arsenal, after losing to Manchester United, are a little bit fragile. If you ask me who is going to win, I don’t know. I would love to say Arsenal, because I said at the beginning of the season, Arsenal is going to win the league, so to win the league, they have to win against Tottenham.

“I don’t want to hear any excuses about Arsenal’s performance. They have to beat Tottenham on Wednesday night.

“Tottenham’s season has been a disaster, to be honest. We’ve seen it too many times, they can give you one good performance and in the next game, they are not there. They are not consistent. But against Arsenal, anything can happen because it’s a London derby.”

Arsenal have an impressive record against Spurs under Arteta

Since joining the Gunners in 2019, Arteta’s record in North London derbies is very impressive, up there with the best of the club’s managers.

The Spaniard has won six out of 10 meetings with Spurs in his time at the Emirates, drawing one and losing three times.

His side are unbeaten in the last five North London derbies, winning four of their last five meetings. The odds are stacked in Arteta’s favour to get his seventh win over Spurs.
