Arsenal return to the Emirates Stadium this weekend as they face winless Southampton for their final game before the international break.
The Gunners have won three games in a row since their 2-2 draw to Manchester City and sit just one point off the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool are the current league leaders after Arne Slot’s side beat Wolves 2-1 last weekend to take the top spot. Whereas Mikel Arteta’s side come off the back of a 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.
Arsenal face a Southampton side who only have one point so far this season and are the lowest-scoring team in the Premier League with three goals in six games.
The Gunners also go into the game with a fully fit Mikel Merino who has returned from injury and made his debut at the Emirates against PSG on Tuesday.
However, Martin Odegaard remains out of action and hopes to return after the international break which comes after this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Arsenal backed as huge favourites against the Saints
It doesn’t come as a surprise that arguably the best team in the league are huge favourites against arguably the worst team.
According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are 1/7 favourites which gives them an 87.5% chance of victory at the Emirates on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Saints are backed at 20/1 giving them less than a 5% chance of getting three points. A draw is backed at 17/2 (10.5%).
We predict a comfortable 3-0 win for Mikel Arteta’s side who will put pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City with a convincing win over Russel Martin’s Southampton.
Where to watch the Gunners host Southampton
